“Hi Beverley, This is how I feel about Cohort4. Not only are physical hugs given, which I need and want, it’s like a big hug when I go to the lunches and when I’m not there, I know I can have a hug over the phone or via text which means everything to me as I feel loved and cared about. So that is everything to me having no proper family xxx ”
I have leaky eyes this morning after receiving this text and the accompanying image from one of our wonderful women.

Family, a term that is so emotive. For some of our Cohort 4 women, this hasn’t been the safe, loving and trusted area to grow up in. Cohort 4 forms a community of women who we ask are; kind, non judgemental and inclusive. We come together to support ourselves and others. A safe environment where project leads and peer mentors ensure that we have a safe and nurturing environment to allow women to flourish, to set safe and realistic goals and to find the time to recover from their own experiences of ‘family.’
