What Cohort 4 means to me & the Marrow

Cohort 4 Groups

I have had a bad few days, despairing with my son and his upsetting outbursts, feeling very alone and useless, having to watch my best friends’ funeral online because covid has prevented us being able to hug and cry together 😥

But today I had a message from Cohort 4, just to offer fresh produce to help me provide food for my family whilst I remain struggling to work.
It’s not just the food, it’s the gesture. That another human is thinking of people like me, during these times when it’s so easy to think, out of sight, out of mind….

But this outreach made me feel so much better, just a friendly face asking if I’m ok. I feel so compelled to say thank you but I don’t think anyone could put a price on heartfelt gratitude.

My kids have enjoyed taking some of the funniest shaped carrots to the elderly neighbour and the fellow single mum, so it’s been smiles shared that bit further.

Cohort 4 is more than a group, it’s a mentality that I hope will spread far and wide 🤞🏼🙏❤️

I would also like to commend whoever grew the marrow!!! Woweee we are having stuffed marrow for dinner this evening x

Cohort 4 stride into 2018!

It isn’t always easy managing a women’s community resource with the challenges we have had. However, since starting up almost four years ago, we are still here and still making a significant difference to women with multiple and complex needs. This year we have shown our resilience and determination to survive. We have managed to stay buoyant with relatively tiny funding grants, and have had to deal with a dishonest, malicious and anonymous complaint. We have coped with a wonderful core trio of committed women Directors who have worked together with our new Project Lead to show that we work to high professional standards, have robust safeguarding processes and policies in place, and can answer any query, however nefariously made, concerning our operations or care for our women and their families. Cohort 4 has triumphed during 2017!
